How to root HaiPad 701

This is the easiest method to rooting the Android 2.1 HaiPad

• WARNING: Only root if you know what rooting is, and why you should root!

There really aren't too many steps.

Step 1: Copy this .apk over to a micro SD card (which we will put into the device later) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9372031/z4root1.3.0.apk

Step 2: Put the Micro SD Card into your HaiPad

Step 3: Use a file manager such as Linda File Manager or Astro to install the .apk

Step 4: Open up z4root in your app drawer

Step 5: Click "Permanent Root" and wait for it to go through the process Your device *WILL* power off, just power the device on

Step 6: Check your app drawer to see if Superuser is there

Step 7: Download an app that required root off the market, such as drocap2 and make sure root works
