This guide will show you how to setup your own ZNC process. Since this is not the Public ZNC it will take a process and a port.

Setup

Run myports and see what port you will use. Remember or write it down.

Then, run znc --makeconf in shell. This would install your ZNC configs in your home directory, similar to "~/znc/".

The installer will ask you questions about your preferences, including loaed modules, usernames, passwords. There are a few things to remember.

1. Up to 3 users on ech personal bouncer.

The first user is admin by default. Each user connects to just one IRC network.

2. The port must be one of your allowed ports.

This is where you will paste the port number noted earlier. The port is one for all users of this ZNC instance.

3. It's recommended to load webadmin.

Web admin is a web interface to manage users and settings. It's easier to use than *status and *admin clients available on ZNC itself. It uses https (secured connection) and is secure.

4. You load modules.

This is what you can't do at public znc (unless the module is needed by many). You can either
